Joni Okun graduated magna cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis, then earned her J.D. degree from Saint Louis University School of Law. She served as law clerk to a federal judge, and as counsel for a federal contracting agency, where she was an international litigator. She later practiced Business and Employment Law, and published a chapter in “An Overview of Title VII” in Judicial Conferences for the Florida Bar.
A member of the Historical Novel Society, Ms. Okun is passionate about reading and writing historical fiction. For the past five years, she has taken courses with Stanford’s Writers Workshop, and is an active participant in a critique group. She lives in Orlando with her husband and two exceptionally destructive silky terriers.
